The entire main idea behind the concept of flourishing and cardistry, is to simply impress or entertain a spectator. The reason magicians practice is to get the reactions of a laymen, and to simply see their pure look of amazement. Cardistry and Flourishing are still very underground practices and not very widespread or known about. Few people practice cardistry and flourishing, but on the other hand, many kids attempt or try magic/card tricks in their life time. Card manipulation and magic tricks go hand in hand, in my opinion. With fluid movements, a simple card trick routine can be turned into, an expert illusion. I personally have been flourishing, and practicing street magic for 8 years. Card manipulation is an art that can be picked up and learned, but it will takes years of practice to fully understand, and yet still more years to be fluid. Practice practice practice.
